Nine times Grammy nominated band Third World, arguably the finest reggae outfit on the planet, returned to the scene of their first international foray in London having opened there for Bob Marley on his UK shows almost fifty years ago. Midway through a European tour in July, founder member and virtuoso guitarist/cellist Stephen “Cat” Coore took time out at the Jazz Cafe in Camden Town for a wide ranging reasoning with English writer Stephen Thorpe– recalling that nascent era in London and the band’s subsequent evolution.
